Incision draining again

Hi everyone,

I've never written to the entire group before, and must say I'm a bit

nervous! :) I have ACM I with a syrinx in my thorasic and cervical

regions. I was decompressed on May 17th. Three weeks after surgery I

had a lot of drainage on several consecutive nights. After several

visits to the dr we were told it was a response to the internal stitches

and nothing to worry about (my mother has experienced the same thing with

surgeries-not chiari related). I have had no problems with it since

then. Sunday and Monday I had slight drainage from the bottom of my

incision and today there is a hard bulge at the bottom and little pebble

like one's all through the rest. I have had a return of headaches in the

past week although not as severe as prior to surgery. My hands and feet

have also been painful and swollen (related? ), also when I sneeze the

back of my head gets a strange tingly feeling that lasts up to ten

minutes and can be disorienting. I called the dr. and am waiting for a

response. Has anyone else had a reaction to sutures? Would this still

be from that? I'm planning on calling again on monday but would love to

hear any thoughts from all of you.

I have enjoyed reading and writing you all. Thank you for your support
