Dr. Maguire is absolutely BRILLIANT! He is one of the founding members of

the ASBS and has never missed a meeting. He has been doing bariatric

surgery for 20 years and the DS for 10 years. He did my surgery 8/22. I

have talked to him several times and while he is a little soft spoken -- he

genuinely cares and takes the time to answer all your questions. He is very

concerned about pain management and even more concerned about follow-up

care. He also has never missed a support group meeting, which is held the

second Tuesday of each month at Kettering Hospital. There are several of us

Maguire Switchees -- I'm sure you'll get lotsa great input. Let me know if

you have other questions, I can either answer them or point you in the right

direction.

Hi Rhonda, Yes I am going to try to come to the meeting, I live in

Greenwood, just outside of Indianapolis, about and hour and a half away, Im

41 and I weigh about 400 lbs, so you know how unconfortable that is, Im am

so glad to hear such nice things about Dr. Maquire, he is the closest to me,

so I wont have to fly back and forth.

What time does the meeting start? Thanks for the response. Have a great day

and total congradulations on the 97 lbs, thats awsome!!!!!

Starts a 7:00 in the basement (or lower level) by the cafeteria. Ask and

someone there will direct you. Or better yet meet us for dinner and we will

I just moved to Indiana and I don't know anyone here , so it would be nice

to make new friends, but I wont know until then, my husband works nights and

I have two eleven year old twins, so I have to see if he can take off to be
