Guest guest
My doctor thinks I have possible Lymes disease. So the blood work in done and he did a arthritis panel again too because I asked about the lupus. You should have seen his face when I pulled up my pant leg. I hope its not long before I find out. Guest guest
The good news with having Lyme is you can get better. I had Lymes 7 yrs ago, was treated for 2 wks, and then developed Fibro. It became worse each yr. I work, regardless of the pain b/c you can't live off of disability here. I did get the extra, extra coverage with my new employer. anyway, I have gotten over 70 % better. My fatigue and energy went up and the over all body pain is subsiding. I have been on tx for close to 3 months. This lyme's dr. said he does not think I have Fibro. At the worst, I have predominantly Lyme. Feel free to write. I have been through this for over 7 yrs. Most of my drs. refused/did not believe in chronic Lyme. It is only on my skin on my back in a big patch. It has never moved from my back and sometimes can burn and itch. When that happens I have a cream for it. Once a year I have my ANA tested to make sure it has not moved into my blood stream and I have always been lucky. My father dies of Lupus about 10 years ago. > > > > Iva@... wrote: > > My doctor thinks I have possible Lymes disease. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. > > 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. > > 3. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. > > 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. > > Have a nice day everyone. > > > > >
