Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I am the other Lady who has ordered the Zinc/Dimethicone/Noritate from your pharmacist. I have not received mine yet - I should get it by Monday. Tell me is it easy to apply and does it wash off easily? How do you like it so far? Thanks, Darlene ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, the first night I used it, it went on kind of dry and sticky. I seemed to have to use a lot of it. It really makes your face white, but by the end of the day my face is usually hot and sometimes stinging. After showering and applying the compound, my face felt very relieved and soothed. The next morning was even better. My face is actually starting to become pale. :-) The next night I decided to add just a pinch of noritate with the compound, on each part of my face, and that made it go on a little smoother. My face was not quite as white and I didn't have to use as much. This seems to work real well right now. The only bad part about it is that now my spider veins are really starting to show up on my face, where as when my face was so red, you couldn't even see the spider veins. I suppose that the best thing after getting rid of the red face is to have photoderm to get rid of the veins. If I continue to have such good progress with the present regime I'm using now, then I will definitely be getting the photo-derm treatments if I am advised that it will indeed help me, after my consultation. I haven't had this much hope for this rosacea condition since I was diagnosed with it. I thought my face would never stop stinging and burning. Then once the stinging and burning let up, my face still stayed red. But having decided to only use natural soaps and oils and no more chemical moisturizers, the redness started subsiding and now with the zinc/dimethicone/noritate it is doing even better. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel after all. Well its only been three days I've been using the compound so I must see how this goes in the long run. I may not need to increase the strength too much more. I'll just have to wait and see. Some have asked me if this compound is good with seb/derm. But I don't see how it could hurt to try. It is a little drying, but nothing like sulfur. I can't use products with sulfur at all. ***Well, Darlene please let us all know what you think when you try it.*** Take Care Everyone, ~Deborah ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Hi San, Choo wrote: > Hi, > what is the other inactive ingredients in your zinc/dimethicone/noritate > cpd? I'm not sure. My pharmacist gave me sample of the vanishing cream he had already developed for other people with extremely sensitive skin. I used it on my face a few days to see if I could handle it, and I had no reaction. So he uses this with the other active ingredients. I'm sorry I wish I knew what it was. But I didn't ask. > does it feel drying to the skin? It is a little drying, but it has not been irritating. The second day I used it I added a little more noritate to it to make it go on smoother and it was also less drying. But I only use it at night right now. The pharmacist is working with me to get the right consistency, since of course he has never made this compound before. We are playing it by ear so to speak. He is most helpful and extremely co-operative. ~Deborah ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Deborah, Isn't Noritate a prescription? Will the pharmacist mix this for you without a prescription? I'm currently using 1.7% Metronid/Klaron. Is this what is referred to as Metrogel? If you wanted to use the zinc/dimethicone/noritate, would you discontinue the metronid/klaron? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
