Not all insurance policies provide care for obesity. Look at your policy...... is there a section on treatment for obesity? a section on weight loss above a certain level? you must read the policy, not all cover this. H. Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Share Posted May 6, 2006 I work for a school district and they offer 2 different companies for insurance. I have BCBS and my friend took 1st Care. Her policy also excludes the WLS, while mine is going to cover mine (on May 22nd!). She was told to go to the school board and ask them to include it in her policy because a lot of the time, companies can pick and choose what they cover.
