Guest guest
what state are you in? Anyone who knows the right atty in the northern Ca area...let me know! 8) > > I had been warned as to how hard it was to get Social Security disability that when I filed 2 years ago I went straight to Bender & Bender law firm and let them deal with it. Yes there were certain forms & questionnaires that I had to fill out but I got my approval in 6 months. Yes, you pay them some but it is only a smll percentage and it comes out of your retroactive SS (that is the amount of time between when you file and when you get approved and start receiving). I only ended up paying them a little over $100. It was really worht it. Good Luck! > > >

Have you found any local support groups Patty???? patty blake wrote: I was just diagnosed after years of on-again off-again migraines, exhaustion, morning stiffness, horrible pains in my knees and some ofthe other '18 points,' IBS, and so on.I am getting ready to try elavil to help me sleep and to help preventmigraines. It's horrible to try to hold a job, as most of you alreadyknow...but I hear it's hard to get SS to classify fibro sufferers asdisabled.Any advice for a newbie? (about anything, really)My mom also has fibro, but our symptoms are so different I didn'trealize for a long time what it was I had. I still manage to get onthe treadmill every day, and while I am uncomfortable no matter whatposition I sit or lie in, I don't have a problem tolerating the weightof a blanket on my skin, whereas my mom can't even stand to have asheet touching her at times. Guest guest
there's one that meets at the Napa Valley Junior College, but right now I'm so beat just running kids back and forth to school, going to the doctor all the time, and trying to work part time, I can't imagine even making it there. I did just get some good news....my husband is in line for a promotion in the next 6 months, and if we can hang on until then we won't need my income so much!! I also did a little research, and apparently the Phoenix group in Napa is the place to go for the kind of health problems I have, so I don't think I'll be running to Mill Valley any more. whew!! 8) > > Napa Valley????
