Guest guest
Hi everyone. My daughter is taking Diamox, and it has done wonders. The doc put her on in to see how she would do. He will be taking her off of it in a month or so. I have been reading alot of posts about diamox. I have learned more things about what it can do to you in the long run. My daughter's nsg said after he takes her off, he will see what happens. What if he puts her back on it, and she has problems down the long run?? He said that he didn't want to do surgery on her yet because she has not lost any of her motor skills. But what is best....surgery or taking this medication that could potentially cause problem with blood formation and kidneys?? I know that Diamox is not a cure for chiari, but the impression I got from the doc, is that this would help her. Not just mask the pain. Is it possible that her chiari is progressing and I may not know it because she is on a medication that is just covering her symptoms??? Sorry to go on and on, but I am so confused now. Thanks in advance!!
