Guest guest
I hope all is well and in good spirits. Well the Radiologist has recommended I have another MRI done of the cervical spine. I'll keep you posted on the findings when thats done. Anyway here is what the MRI report says, sorry its long. Findings: The cerebellar tonsils are located approx 7-8mm below foramen magnum consistent with a Chiari malformation. There is no definite evidence of spinal cord syrinx at the upper cervical level. The ventricles are normal in size and the CSF spaces are preserved. There are normal intracranial vascular flow voids. There is no evidence of acute hemorrhage or mass effect. The orbits and temporal bones are unremarkable. The mastroid air cells are clear. The pituitary gland is midline and is at the upper limits of normal size. Conclusion: No evidence of acute hemorrhage, mass effect or hydrocephalus. Chiari malformation with the cerebellar tonsils located approx 7-8mm below foramen magnum. No definite associated spinal cord syrinx through C4 level. However there is mild enlargement of the cervical spinal cord at the C2 level with adjacent heterogeneous signal within the cerebellar tonsils. Recommend an MRI of the cervical spine to completely rule out a cervical spinal cord syrinx, cervical spinal stenosis, and a more aggressive process. The pituitary gland is at the upper limits in normal size, which most likely is physiologic for a female without evidence of focal lesion. Correlation with laboratory prolactin levels may be helpful to further evaluate. Any comments and explanation of what this is actually saying would be very helpful. To me it sounds like nothing at all, nothing is wrong or different. Any thoughts is welcomed. Thanks for reading. in the Palmetto and hurting
