, you asked what kind of artist I am, well I painted animals from photo's

and have paintings world wide. I haven't painted more than 3 since the death of

my son the desire is gone, but maybe someday it will return. The paints and

brushes are all packed away out of sight. I have several websites and I will

list them below, hope you enjoy you trip through them. Hugs, Helen

Hi ~ I am sad that you are having a bad day. And I feel really bad that

your husband is getting on you about the losing weight thing and not running

enough (did I read that right???!). My husband is usually quite supportive,

but he recently injured his knee. I tried telling him that his pain is my life

everyday. He doesn't believe it. So, I've been going through all my books

and finding the " how to get people to understand " info. I am also working on

losing weight. As far as pain relievers, I find that Excedrin Migraine (2 in

the AM with my breakfast) really makes a difference in getting me going in the

morning.

I am a teacher and am just finishing up my first week of summer vacation. I

way overdid it, trying to catch up on everything I want to get done and have

been really feeling it. I am working on finding the right balance to my summer

routine.

Take care ~ Kathy in NY

Thanks for your reply, Kathy. I think it's very hard for those that have

never lived with chronic pain to really understand what we go through on a

daily basis. My husband has a problem with a shoulder that is a chronic pain

condition for him, so it helps him understand my issues, but he still wants

to put mine off as being symptomatic of " getting older " - some of my minor

stiffness falls into that category, true, and he's learning to understand

the difference between that problem and the bigger problems of FMS pain. I

think it's all about education - both for us and for our partners.

I'm glad Excedrine Migraine works for you. A year ago I quit taking any

Excedrin products because of a long-term addiction. I had become dependent

on the 'rush' from regular Excedrine and was often taking upwards of 10

tablets per day. These days, I rarely have headaches, and am more in tune

with my body through yoga practice and more careful attention to nutrition.

I try not to overdo things, but have a very full schedule between work,

exercise and building a house.

Cheers -

D.
