Guest guest
yes i do hun and i wish you all the luck in the world. i have two issues that could be it... 2 years ago i was told i had myofasical pain syndrome. it took the soooo many years to find out what the heck was wrong. It started out with headaches-then migraines-then jaw, teeth pain- and then they think it lead to fibro....my whole upper body aches almost all the time. i did buy a mouth guard but for me it didn't help me much. try to notice when you get upset or stressed if your clench. i never did till i was told to watch and now i see myself do it all the time. a oral surgeon was the one that told me what i had.... lol and i went threw cat scans, mris xrays even spinal taps. i have also just found out i have a goiter in my thyroid-which they think presses on my jaw... lol. i was on muscle relaxers for a while but to tell ya the truth i feel better not on them. i went on a drug called lyrica and its has done wonders for me.... so check all these things out and maybe it might help? email me if you need a shoulder.. wen -- issues during sleep??? Does anyone have trouble with teeth clenching during the night? I'm constantly waking up with a sore jaw because I'm clenching my teeth at night. I'm pretty sure that I'm not grinding. My nephew is a grinder, sounds like rocks in his mouth. I'm so tired today. I hope everyone else is more awake than I am, especially since I'm right in the middle of a work day. LOL. They frown at falling asleep at your computers around here. LOL. Jayne 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Hi Jayne I'm a teeth clencher too. I clenched so tightly at night that I have three teeth at different times. I know wear a moulded night guard at night . It also helped with the TMJ,stiff jaw, neck and headaches. My strength of my clenching was usually regulated by my stress level. It would come out at night. Hope your day went well jaynes_photos wrote: Does anyone have trouble with teeth clenching during the night? Guest guest
Wow !! that must be one huge goiter to reach your jaw. you must have alot of problems swallowing and turning your neck. Are you sure they said pressing on your jaw?? I just had a tumor and half my thyroid removed and that is in the lower neck...your jaw is in your face. Just curious BladesKissofDeath wrote:
