the part about getting the junk out of the house is sooooo

true.......I had nothing here at the house for the first three weeks or

snaking on some of them, I have been good the last few days, but I need to just

go toss all that crap in the trash outside..........I'm glad I live alone right

Re: help

I'm at the point were I fight it everyday. I started seeing a

therapist in December and it has helped. Hun you are just going to

have to dig deep and take control. I know it is hard!!!!! If you

break it down, it will help. Tell yourself. I'm going to go and walk 4

days this week and I'm going to cut out cookies (my downfall) this

week. Set a goal of a 5 lb weightloss for this next month. Then the

next week continue walking and cut cookies and something else you like

to snack on.

Get rid of the junk in your house. Put healthy snacks in your house

veggies and fruit.

Do it in small steps. You can do this!!!! We are here for you!!

Hugs!!!

Holly,

There doesn't seem to be any way I can offer you help but I do

understand some of what you are going through. Just about all of us,

myself included have experienced pain that was unrelenting and made

us just sit and cry. Many of us have migraines also. Do you have a

Dr who can prescribe you something that will help? Ideally a pain

specialist as they are not as afraid to help you. Sounds as if your

present medications are not doing the job and you need something

stronger. I have sat in a chair crying with the pain many times but

this is hard to describe to a Dr. They just say, " You have to expect

some pain " . I do hope that you will get help and also that the pain

will let up.

Hi Holly- I am sorry to hear you are in so much pain.

I have been there plenty of times. What i do is

alternate with heating pad, and ice. Unfortunately it

does not take the pain away, but it helps it alittle.

I wish i had the magic answer for you. Try to feel

better. Feel free to email me anytime you like.

Hi Holly,

I hate to keep sounding like a bot but when people ask I have to share what

has helped me......

I have had fibro for over 12 yrs. I take Guaifenesin for my fibro. You have to

learn how to take the med properly for it to work on fibro. Here is a book you

need to get either from a library or you could get it at ebay or amazon cheaper

than a bookstore.

What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Fibromyalgia by

Dr. St. Amand

Here is the doctors website www.guaidoc.com

Here is a website for more info and for an online support group for those who

take guaifenesin...

www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com

It is not a cure and it is not a pain

med but it has allowed me to stop taking prescription pain meds. I used to

take them constantly. Check it out.

Hang in there,

Ginger

take the pain it is unbearable. What can I do any secrets besides meds

for pain and muscle relaxers I haven't had a full time job since May

2005. I am waiting on disability, but we all know how long that process

can be. I feel like a big baby crying because of the pain can anyone

talk to me. I am losing it. I also suffer from bipolar and migranes any

info would heelp.

Hi Holly,

I'm slow to respond to many because of the amount of time I can bare at this

puter. About your claim dor SSD,Yes it can be a long

wait. After your first denial get an attorney and let them take it

from there. It took me a few years to get my SSD because my attorny wasn't a

good chose so ask around about who may be your best bet on attornys.

I'm on antidepessants, klonopin, stratterra, ambien and other meds

so I hane an idea of your plight and what stands before you.Just

don't give up!!

GOD Bless YOU in your efforts!........Love

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some

treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain

health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be

afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let

us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.

Oh Holly. I am so sorry. It sounds like a terrrible flare. Are you on any

pain meds? I don't know what else to say except hot baths, pain meds, and lots

of rest.... even if you cant sleep... try to rest alot. I also believe I am

bipolar and don't know for sure. I take Zoloft for depression. And tell me???

What kind of pain. Is it nerve pain like sharp shooting stuff or muscle aches

or both?

But antidepressants I know can cause loss of sexual desire. I have dealt with
