Guest guest
Whew, Last time I longed on we were at about 3200 and today when I saw I was 400 messages behind I decided to spend the day catching up. I responded to a few along the way and thought I should post a brief update. My surgery was on 4.29.03 - I had lost 25 pounds pre-op to get my surgery date and as of yesterday 7.19.03 I had dropped another 56 pounds. I was so excited to be in the 60's. I have lost 4 - 6 inches in my breast size (46/48DD before - fit into a 42 D comfortably today). I actually bought a size 16/18 tank top and a 18/20 shirt for work. Jeans (28 before 24 now with a lil room). I feel amazing - I went to Waterworld last weekend with my kids (1st time in 4 years) - and they wanted to go home before me (I still had energy)... I got into my husband's truck yesterday (I hated riding in it before because I had to use a seat belt extender in order to wear the seatbelt and it always reminded me of how big I had become) I put the seatbelt on it fit like I was normal - plenty of room... my mouth dropped open and I just stared at my husband...he said " What? " and I said " LOOK " pointing at the seatbelt and he said so nonchalantly " I didn't think you'd need the extender anymore " like he already knew I would fit. I was elated!!!! I woke up this morning wearing my new lingerie tank top and jammie bottoms and put on my now too big robe and went into the kitchen to greet all my boys. My soon to be 4 year old says " I like what your wearing mama, you look pretty " I felt like I had just won an oscar since he has never said anything like that before. I just thought I would share - everything else in my life is pretty typical stressful stuff but everynight I go to bed thinking " At least the scale is not going up anymore and you didn't have to take any blood pressure medication or any other chemicals just to regulate your system " Later I'll tell you about my IUD mishap which stalled me for a lil while but now I'm back to my workout and feeling great. To all the pre-ops I hope my lil successes will give you something to look forward to - It helped me keep focused on the goals ahead when I read others experiences after surgery. God bless and Good luck to you all. D 350/269/
