Guest guest
Hi Chris I haven't stopped to see what others are advising you but when I saw ALS that rang a loud bell as a friend of mine had that. If I were diagnosed with ALS I would get myself to a clinic that would treat me for CCSVI. Many are only accepting MS patients at the moment but I would phone around and see who is happy to take my dollars, LoL. If it relieves just a few percentage of our problems, it is worth it. There are other things that might help but that to me is THE NUMBER ONE that needs to be explorerd before anything else. Not many people with ALS have gone the CCSVI route yet but it has been proven that there is a link with MS with the iron deposits in the brain. Well worth pursuing THEN we can talk about what else helps. Hang in there and FIGHT! It's a hard fight but it is worth it! Janet To: mscured From: CWITTECK@... Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2011 12:18:37 -0600 Subject: hello Hello All, I am 44 years old, married, and father of 3 wonderful children (6,8,10). I have recently been diagnosed with ALS but continue to get tested in hopes that it might be something else. I want to take the bull by the horns and do whatever I can to extend life so I can see my children grow up and be the best husband possible for my wife. I am looking for anything you can offer. Any remedies, foods, recipes, etc that have worked for you or for others you have spoken to. I have been reading about foods on the internet but I don't know what some of them are. It seems like everything I eat have landed on the " Foods that Kill " list. Are the cleansing routines something you all do? Anything that you tell me will help. As I said earlier I have just been diagnosed so all I have is questions and I have no answers. I am on a road which is unfamiliar and I want to fight. Please help, Chris
Guest guest
When you say detox, how long do you do it and how? Sorry if I sound like a 2 year old but that is how I feel right now with all of this. Metal detox - have all your amalgams removed. Chlorella is the big one for detoxing mercury; start slow, add cilantro latterly. For detoxing iron (what MS and ALS people often have on the brain), try milk thistle (silymarin) and IP-6, essentially rice bran. There are other more potent detoxes which I haven't done but I expect someone here will advise. Guest guest
There are many people on here who know a lot more about detox than me and might chip in- Basically there are various things that you don't want in an already compromised immune system so you need to detoxify (remove the poisons). One is mercury. Mercury can have come from dental amalgams or too much fish and a multitude of other reasons. You can have a blood test to see if you are high in mercury. One way to bring the numbers down is to take chlorella (which is the scum on the top of pools to put it bluntly - sounds gross eh, but it works). Most seem to tell you to take up to 10 a day. No way! I have been doing it slowly and can't get past 4 a day. After a while you can add cilantro which mercury binds to and will eliminate it from your system. You need to make sure you have no mercury in dental fillings before you try this. Another is the iron deposits on the brain that a lot of us are found to have. I listed some natural products earlier. I'd just leap in, buy some of these supplements, drink lots of water and start trying them. Others who may know more than me might be able to offer advice. I still think if you can get tested for CCSVI, that is your main route. You are probably learning a whole new language here! Do post with any concerns, I am sure someone here can help. Good luck!
