Hi there!

This looks like a wonderful list to me! It would take me awhile to compile

an all time favorites list myself. My favorite music is either Blues or

Native American. I've often thought and said some day when I pass Over to

Grandfather I want to do so while either listening to one of these two

genres and/or be at a Pow Wow or the Homelands of my people at the same time

Some of my favorite Bluesmen are B. B. King, Jimmy Ray Vaughn, Clapton,

Lee Hooker, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Howling Wolf, Albert King, any

Bluesmen out of Chicago. My favorite Native American groups would include

The Black Lodge Singers, Bill and an assortment of others.

Quick Google search brought up this site:

http://www.canyonrecords.com/catalog.htm

I also like native american and other native music.

One of my favourites is a collaboration by Itsao Tomita (a Japanese man

who does electronic music. His version of Holst's The Planets is a

classic in itself) and a traditional Chinese drum troupe. They do Incan

music on this CD. The CD is called KOTO. and it absolutely needs to be

heard with a good surround sound system turned up a bit louder than

normal, so you can hear all the nuances. At one point you hear the

flutes swaying and soaring all around the room. At another, a pickup

truck in the dessert screeches around a curve and you hear a beer can

skitter across the room.

I'ts difficult to explain, but probably my favourite CD of all times.

And that includes the CD of farm animals (including pigs) singing Chant

in pig-latin. PIGS: Oresnay, oresnay, oresnay....
