Guest guest
Jan, Congratulations! I am a brand new Grandmother...July 7,2000 and she is a beautiful little Girl....It feels like I have my daughter back again when she was little....very weird....but I love it....I can't pick her up and carry her, so my family puts her in my lap and if I am alone with her I have her on my bed that way I can get up and get her diapers etc...with out worrying about droopping her...She is beautiful...I wish I could sing her a lullaby, but I have no voice...so I just kiss her a lot and hug and feed her.... Take Care and Gentle hugs to you (((((Sara from NH))))))) > Just HAD to tell you all........I am going to be a grandma !!!!! Double > YIPEE !!!! Guest guest
Sara, how nice for you. I can't wait til mine is born. Still seems unreal. I waited so long for this one. Probably will spoil it rotten. LOL Jacqui....wow !!! that is great. A little girl. Nice being an aunt again isn't it? I can't get attachments. Is it in egroups page? Can you send me it privately via jpeg? I would love to see her. thanks Yitzi & Tami, thanks, I am excited. She had a little spotting today......hope it isn't anything. They were home for the weekend and had to drive over 900 miles in two days so that with her starting a new teaching job today may have been a little stressful. Gosh I hope everything is ok. I plan on calling tomorrow too. Gotta check on little 'sweet pea " . Hope you all have a great week. Jan M
Guest guest
Francisco, Yep it was me at Richmond, the anal one, that kept wanting schedules. I'm so happy for you on your June 3rd date. Patrice has the same day as you, she was the other African American woman sitting by the door next to me. Both of you have been so positve in your journey and a tremendous help to me and I'm sure others. Well, looks like we are on the way to the other part of our journey my date is 5/29/03. Well, again CONGRATS!!!!! Guest guest
That is so sweet Francisco. I was being over-dramatic. I just hate it, but if I drink it with a positive attitude, I don't really gag. I keep reminding myself that I don't want to lose hair, and doesn't vanity always win??? Keep up your positive attitude too. It will get you a long way after surgery. Keep those nurses laughing! Re: Good News Cheryl: You gave such meaningful input at the meeting! And I'm printing out this message to put into my binder. Thanks for the great advice. Have you tried the Designer Whey Protein from Trader Joe's? Maybe you'd find it a bit more bearable. I felt so bad in the meeting hearing that you have to gag your protein supplement down. Guest guest
HI SHell, I wish that I knew then about what I Know now. There are so many ways to make it taste better. I was thinking that I was just going to have to toss the rest of the protein powder that I ahve but I have been using it lately. I followed the recipes that Pat was so kind to share with us and I find now that it is great. Either that or my taste buds are dead (Ha ha). I have started to use it again just to give myself a boost and I find that since I have upped my protein with a shake I have had a lot more energy. I even find that I sleep better at night. I was having a very hard time staying asleep. I find that when I don't get enough protein during the day I don't sleep well at night. I don't know it is related but that is the way I have been. I have tweaked my shake with 1 tablespoon of sugar free instant butterscotch pudding, 2 packets of splenda, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Plus of course two scoops of protein powder (Ihave the choclate flavor), one cup of nonfat milk, and 5 or 6 ice cubes. It comes out so tasty that I shared it with my extremely picky husband and he liked it. I think what really makes the big difference is the pudding in the shake. Well I just wanted to share this. Guest guest
Cheryl, I could NOT drink the protien shakes no matter what I did! Just the smell of it made me gag. My boyfriend was beside him self trying to think of a way to get me to get it down. He snuck in in my oatmeal and anything else he could think of lol. Every time I ate something and it was in it I would just gag lol. I no how important it is to have the protien but for me I just could not do it. I talked to Nadia and gitty and as important as it is they said I would not die with out it. I was put on stage 2 diet about 2 weeks after surgery and ate eggs allot and cheese and other forms of protiens. I have been fine and my protien levels are perfect. This was just my story and I am not saying in anyway that we should not do as the doctors tell us. This is just how it was for me Shell > > Hi back Francisco > > > > I was sitting very near you, at the back set of tables. Guest guest
I know I don't say much unless its big news so here is some good news for me finely I talked to Pam she works in the member service dept for Kaiser she is really nice and helpful she is helping push my doctor along to make sure she does her job in a timely matter. I talked with her yesterday to see where things stand. She said she has talked to my PCP and my PCP told her she is in the process of filling in the referral to the PB department and Pam and I are kinda upset as to why she didn't get it done before taking off for vacation so she is waiting till my PCP gets back and getting all over her for the paper work my PCP is really good at not doing what she is suppose to be paid to do in a timely matter. In the mean time I had lost feeling in my right hand from diabetes and I have not got any menstrual period in at least 4 months now. No I am not pregnant although I get that comment all the time because most of my flubber is in and around my stomach I cant wait to get on the other side of the fence and be a post op
