Guest guest
I dont know for sure... but sounds like something to do with the sacrum. The sacrum is the very lower part of your back just above the butt. It is right above the lumbar area. Does this help any?? Guest guest
I think that she meant " sciatica " . I was diagnosed with it yesterday. It is a sharp pain in the butt that can even cause numbness and tingling in the leg and foot. If this is what she meant, you have irritated your sciatic nerve. My doctor presribed an oral steroid and a nonsteroid anti-inflammatory to help decrease the irritation. Good luck, I know what you are going through. > > a chiro suggested the pain in my buttocks is from sacro???? something. > can anyone fill in the blanks. she wouldnt write it down. and i wasnt > have one of my better mind days. > thanks, dawn >

Guest guest
If it is sciatica but doesn't radiate down a leg, then it could be pirformis syndrome. Our piriformis muscle in our butt is just above part of the sciatic nerve. When muscle is inflammed it irritates the sciatic nerve. I had piriformis syndrom last fall. Guest guest
it wasnt sciatica - i have had that, and the pain is completely different. this chiro said the pain specialist's diagnosis of piriformis was wrong - that it is was sacrosilis (?) something or other. thanks for more input dawn > > > > I think that she meant " sciatica " .
