Guest guest
This too shall pass, or hang in there but don't hold your breath cause you'll turn blue. Sorry. I don't have any wonderful words of wisdome, just condolances. We've been there too more times than I care to count. In the last fifteen minutes I have reclaimed twenty or more videos the 2yo was pitching over the gate, and I resurrected the old oak playpen. He is now effectively caged. The fact that he is unhappy and whining makes no difference in the noise level because he was screaming and throwing things before. Now he's just yelling with nothing to throw. Guest guest
The guinea pigs. This was me, being me, bringing in animals that were being abused, etc. Started as two guinea pigs (2 females, one was pregnant when I took them in and I knew it. By my train of thought, every piggy I had ever known only had one or two babies so I figured this was going to turn into three or four piggies....it turned into 6!) Then I got a phone call from a friend of mine, do I want another guinea pig. Well, it's only one more, he is homeless, abused, etc. Took in . Found out after the fact that the woman that had him was mentally retarded (knew that part) and that her husband (he is from San Salvadore or somewhere) told her if she didn't get rid of him he was going to cook him up for dinner. So I have . Same friend calls me a few weeks later, do I want two more guinea pigs? Uh...maybe. She tells me I can say " No " so I ask what the story is with them. Basically the person that had them didn't keep them in a cage, they were making piggy messes everywhere, and the womans landlord was going to come in and take them to shelter if she didn't find a place for them in 24 hours. Well, much like piggies one and two I am not going to let something go to the shelter if I can help it so we have 9 piggies. I used to clean them, then I thought it would be a good lesson in responsiblity for the kids. It turns into a huge mess that they don't want to clean up. ~ Georga ~ Furby Rescue: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jorghahaq/Furbyrescue.htm Usborne Books: http://www.ubah.com/F1549 Register to win $50 in free books! My son also went outside in his new tennis shoes a few days ago. They're also the ONLY pair he has that fits right now because of a sudden growth spurt. So he had to wear a pair that was too small to school. Grrrr.... The 9 yr. old NT daughter woke up and informed me that she's going to be " Ugly for forever! " because she didn't get up in time to straighten her hair. She also wore her SISTER'S new shoes out into the mud. This is after last week when she wore her SISTER'S new school pants out to feed the dogs (4 very large labradors). Why did she wear her sister's stuff outside? Because she didn't want to ruin HER stuff. >Then there was the guinea pigs. They don't have to clean the mess. > Going to strangle them!!! Yep, I'm all for that. Let's have a strangling party. I'll do mine at the same time. played on my laptop the other day and lost the article I'd written for tomorrow's issue. Did I save the article anywhere else? NO. Stupid me. Now I have to rewrite it, which I should be doing instead of reading email. What she was doing in my WP file is beyond me. She can't read so I know she had no clue what she was doing. She was just clicking on the little windows that popped up. Grrrrrrrrrrrr........... Actually, this has been a good week. So I guess I shouldn't gripe.
