Hi,

I was on Vytone for a while. Be careful...its a cortisone and antifungal

and although it might help at first, it tends to make matters worse in the

long run. I am finally off of any form of cortisone after being on them for

about 2 years.

I found that Noritate and zinc oxide creme does just as well, so I dont

feel that panicky feeling to reach for the cortisone anymore! Cortisone has

so many side effects and actually I feel that it contributed to my present

skin condition. You will hear of alot of people in this group, including me,

that went through a rough withdrawal when stopping the corts.

Tetracycline will make you photosensitive. Im sure that being under

fluorescent lights will make you react. I just got done with Doxycycline so I

know the feeling of turning redder under the lights at work. However I feel

that I react that way whether on a photosensitive antibiotic or not.

Fluorescent lights are definitely a trigger for me.

Im really not sure if antibiotics have any effect on the redness. They

are usually given for the breakouts that can accompany rosacea. The Azelex

creme kills bacteria that can cause breakouts, but it also says here in my

pill book that it can normalize skin processes that can worsen acne. That

sounds pretty good. Maybe that will help. Well good luck....

Bill
