Guest guest
hi too had been told after ttc for about 6months that i had a septate uterus. mine was accidently found while doing an hsg, which is a test that is done to see your uterus and if your tubes are functioing correctly. my tubes and everything were fine and they noticed my uterus looking abnormal, thought maybe septate or bicornuate. i had to have an MRI to make definitve dx.they dx me with septate. i had an appt. with specialist to see my options but eded up preg. while waiting on appt..obviously after becoming preg they couldn't do anything about my septum so we just had to wait and see..my preg. was fairly good, we worried about early m/c or premature labor because of septum. thankfully my pre term labor didn't cause a delivery until 34wks, my son is now 2yrs and very healthy, thank God!!!!!my next preg did not have a happy outcome. we decided to go ahead with another preg without doing anything to septum because my doc said that alot of times, RE's won't do anything fi there is no cause re: recurrent m/c, really early delivery with first child, etc. so i again made it to 34wks, i had a lot of prblms, been on bedrest for a while for preterm labor, and i had a complete placental abruption and mybaby girl was born still....this has been the most difficult thing in my life. after this we decided to have the surgery, back in oct., RE says it was very successful, we are ttc now. docs couldn't say for sure if septum had anything to do with the abruption but they can't rule it out either, so we all felt more comfortable getting it out before any future pregnancies. i know you are anxious and you want a baby but please take the time to see an RE and get his/her opinion before getting preg. maybe this little delay is God's plan so u can get this septum taken care of before you have to experience a loss. sorry this is so long...keep in touch..shauna
