Guest guest
Both my dad and FIL died from emphysema...four months apart, ten years ago. It was awful. Tobacco kills! I wish we'd just make it illegal and then only the bootleggers would die.... Maralee ****He did not have diabetes, he had a rare form of emphysema which was ****discovered at the Mayo Clinic around 7 or 8 years ago. The ****emphysema would have ****eventually killed him, but if he had taken control of his ****life, he probably could ****have lived many more productive years. **
Guest guest
In 12-Step groups they say that you have to 'hit bottom' before you can begin recovery. Re: My turn to vent At the end of his story on his website there is a quote that I love... it says: " If you can't find enough compelling reasons why losing weight and getting healthy is of highest priority to you, then frankly your life doesn't suck enough for you to do what it takes to change it. Guest guest
True; but you can't help someone who doesn't WANT to be helped, and sometimes the only thing you can do for someone is to let him stew in his own juices for a while.
