Guest guest
trust in the medical profession Hi, I got some very disturbing news today. The doctor that did the anesthesia for my first surgery was found guilty of taking fentanyl while on duty. Apperently he took a vial of the stuff and injected some of it just after bringing apatient from the OR. He then proceeded to the OR to take care of another patient. This is not a tale he made the front page of our local paper and is also listed under the Health Departments Medical Misconduct file. I use to work at the same hospital with this doctor and can't believe it. I am also very angy that this happened. It scares the day lights out of me thinking he might have been under the influence of drugs while doing my anesthia. I had a very bad time after my first surgery and my husband and I wonder if this could be the case. When my first nsg resigned from our hospital there was alot of bad stuff flying around about him. I do know that he was investedgated by the state and found to have been keeping bad records and now has to attend classes on charting. There alot of other stuff going around about some surgeries he did but I chose not to listen to what I call Levys horror stories. Now this on this other doctor. This ACM/SM is hard enough to deal with and along with this has been the stuff from the doctors and their offices. I just am not sure who to trust in all the mess.
