I didn't listen to him but took the advice of people in this group and found that my bg's were going all over the board from lows to very high. So my advice is test 2 hours after you eat consistently for a while at least to see what's going on. I will probably always test at least twice a day even though my bgs are pretty much regulated right now because diabetes is something that can change overnight, even if you are presently controlled. I think self-testing is one of the best ways to keep ahead of some of the real problems that can develop with diabetes.
