Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I feel your pain. I live in a subdivision in a ex logging community. There are laws to address the wood smoke. Actual burn bans. Not enforced. If you call they say they will check it out. Then come by a week later and talk about the crotchety neighbor. All of the houses in my subdivision have fireplaces. I converted to gas lomg before I was dx with IPF. The new hot item in the stores are wood burning pits. My next door neighbor has a giant one which he burns all summer long. Luckily the wind doesn't blow directly in my patio door everday. They know of my IPF but have their own lives to live I guess. I also have portable air filters in the family room and bedroom. Guest guest
Jane, When my dad was in the hospital shortly before his death, I was the only family member with him the day that they discovered that he had esophageal cancer and came out to tell me that he only had 90 days to live. It was so traumatic and I was alone. There was construction ongoing in the hospital, much like what you described at your church. I was looking for a pay phone, through blinding tears and got into the same kind of situation. Could not find my way out. Now, I have nightmares about that day and feel the same panic. I am glad that I found my way out and I am glad that you found your way out. Kind of an analogy of real life, isn't it? I just love you....so glad that we met and had so much fun. I always smile about the punkins!
