Guest guest
Grettings from one control freak to another-gosh, it makes life complicated, doesn't it?!! First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss. I've taken up the whole temping thing this year, too. I had a m/c in February and started to do BBTs after that (I didn't do it before, so I can't compare.) What I can tell you is that after my m/c my charts did show a few annovulatory cycles (very frustrating) and my periods have been MUCH worse than they were before, so pregnancy has definitely changed a lot of things for me. Hopefully, your tests/bloodwork will shed some more light on this. (I'm guessing that your doc is doing bloodwork-a simple progesterone test will show if you are ovulating or not.) It might be possible that you aren't yet ovulating. I know that my m/c really screwed my cycles up for a while. I have read that a heating pad can screw up your BBTs, so who knows about the electtic blanket! Maybe try to go without that for a while and see if there is a difference! Hope that your tests go well and you get that " green light " very soon. Best wishes, 28, UU " kquaz2000 wrote: > Does anyone practice the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) - aka as >Natural Family Planning?nbsp; This not only tracks the waking temps, but >also quality of cervical fluid and position of the cervix. > >If so, I have a question.nbsp; I m/c on September 30 and started cycling >six weeks later.nbsp; Prior to the pg, my waking temps were 97.4 before >ovulation and 97.9 to 98.1 after ovulation.nbsp; There was a VERY clear >correlation, not to mention being confirmed by good quality cervical >fluid just prior to ovulation.nbsp; This method was GOLD because I knew >exactly the day we conceived our 'Lil One.nbsp; Although my HCG level has >returned to it's pre-pg levels, my waking temps still remain high - >consistently around 98.1 with no significant increase after >ovulation.nbsp; I'm trying to figure out why this change has occurred, >especially since it makes it difficult to confirm fertile vs. >nonfertile days. > >Has anyone else has this experience after a pg or m/c?nbsp; Can something >as simple as using a heating blanket during the cold winter nights >have something to do with the increase in my waking temp?nbsp; Or could >this mean that I'm not ovulating at all?nbsp; I know, I should just break >out the wallet and get a OPC, but I don't feel that's necessary given >the success of the FAM method in the past.nbsp; After all, why would it >work perfectly for months and not work now?nbsp; > >Although I don't have the quot;green lightquot; TTC, tests and procedures are >being planned around my cycle, as you well know...the major >measurment day being that of ovulation (since my luteal phase is >consistent).nbsp; I'm not stressed about it, but I'll be honest in saying >it is getting a little concerning that I don't know when things are >happening - the true sign of a control-freak, I think. > >Any thoughts? > >Kristi >31 >Parital SU > > >
