17 week OB update (preg ment)

Hi ladies,

Well, I had my cervix duly pulled on and noted as " just as long as

two weeks ago " ! So that's good news. She had a hard time

finding the little guy's heartbeat. She was trying on the right side

(he seemed to be on the right mostly before) and then finally she

tried the left, and there he is! So, I'm glad, as I think this means

he has free run of my uterus and the 1.5 cm of septum isn't

bothering him. He was clocked at 140 bpm. I think I want a

fetoscope for xmas. It's a stethoscope for listening to the fetal

heartbeat. I saw one online for about $30, so I'm asking dh for it.

They say you can hear the heartbeat at around 20 weeks. I think

that even after I can feel him move, it'll still be fun to hear his

heart. Anyone used one of these?

I've gained a total of 10 lbs so far, so my doctor was happy. She

said that was perfect. Phew! I really made up for those months

of vomiting with my eating in the last few weeks, LOL!

My next u/s is Jan. 3rd. We'll get to check the cervix and do

another fetal survey for fun, and confirm that he is a " he " still.
