Re: Need Info on Arava

Hi,

I am rather new to Arava--two months or so.  I haven't noticed a big change. 

Would you please tell me about your experience with this medication?  Enbrel

worked fast, but after several years I got pneumonia and it took months to get

well so I am trying something else.

Thanks so much Diane. My husband and I was glad to hear about Ohio,

I remember some rare warm days in December. It's like a tease on the

weather. Warm than in the teens lol. I can watch the big snow

flakes on tv lol. I hate being in the snow. But love watching it

from a warm house.

I have just 8 more days until I hit my 2 month mark on Arava and I

don't think I am seeing results yet. As a matter of fact I have been

in a big flare until a day or 2 ago. I started on 10mg. How much are

you taking? I think his is going to bump me up to 20mg and see what

happens for another month if my bloodwork comes back ok. I really

want it to work because I haven't had any side effects.

I started Arava this past Friday. Due to my predisposition to side effects, we

only did 2 days of loading (100 mg) and I am taking 20 mg every OTHER day. I

have bloodwork in 4 weeks and see the doctor in 7 (his schedule was nuts). He is

also keeping me on 5 mg of prednisone since it is the only thing giving me

relief.
