Here are names of PCP's in your area that were recommended by Kaiser patients who were referred for surgery by them. I don't know if they are accepting new patients however, so you will need to call and see.

Does anyone know of a good Primary Care Physician in South Sacramento, who knows a lot about WLS? My PCP referred me, and is a *very* nice man, but I get the impression that I'm his first WLS patient. Maybe not...I could be reading him wrong. He's young (probably a new grad) and new to Kaiser. He's been great at handling my ongoing medical problems...but now that the surgery is in my future (wahoo!!!) I'm concerned about access to someone who is knowledgable in follow-up. Pacific Bariatric is in San Diego, and although they can follow me up once monthly when they come to do rechecks, if anything goes wrong in the meantime I have to depend on my PCP at Kaiser. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to switch to someone who knows a little bit more about WLS and the post-op care of said patients.

I could go to Point West or Kaiser Morse, too, if need be -- but I'm really close to Kaiser So Sac.
