Guest guest
Is this a " normal " combination to find? I mean, is dyslexia common amoung ASD children? This is what I am trying to find out. I realize that any two things could appear together. ~ Georga ~ Furby Rescue: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jorghahaq/Furbyrescue.htm Usborne Books: http://www.ubah.com/F1549 Register to win $50 in free books! Guest guest
> Is this a " normal " combination to find? < i don't think it's abnormal. kailey goes the opposite way tho, she has hyperlexia. i imagine it all goes back to processing issues which is what autism is really all about, isn't it? Guest guest
I am just totaly going mad here. LOL! Not hard to do. I sometimes feel like we didn't get a total dx on Savannah. The dr. said ASD, most likely AS. We haven't gotten Sierra tested yet or Cheyenne. It is something that I feel I need to know, I know something is going on. However, we are just sort of the " just deal with it " sort of people. Sierra is doing a lot of the same stuff ASD wise that Savannah did at the same age so chances are that is what is going on...but is there something else going on? I see dyspraxia in the three children in question, the dr. never said anything about Savannah having dyspraxia...however I have neuro-psychs done on the four oldest children (this does not include Cheyenne) that lists things that could be considered dyspraxia. Anyway, you get the picture. I think I will just go back to pulling my hair out now. ~ Georga ~ Furby Rescue: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jorghahaq/Furbyrescue.htm Usborne Books: http://www.ubah.com/F1549 Register to win $50 in free books! Guest guest
Georga, isn't diagnosed with dyslexia, but he has severe writing problems. Letters are upside down, backwards, big, little and frontwards. There is a handwriting component that goes with autism and aspergers, and also with ADD. Then there's just plain old dyspraxia (same as above). Anyway, he fights against anything requiring writing. Fun fun fun! Sue
