Hi Tish!

I'm new to this group and also new to being a diabetic!

I can use any and all tips, food ideas, good, bad, whatever, at this point.

I'm hoping this is a pretty active group so I can both take and give! :)

Thanks!

If you haven't done so already, get a copy of DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETIES

SOLUTION and DIABETES FOR DUMMIES. Both should be in any good boostore; if

there's no good bookstore in your town, you can order both from Amazon.

I usually eat cherios cereal, waffles ( eggo fat free are good) with

a little fat free margerine, and a 8ox juice carton. I occasionally

have a Great Starts breakfast, sausage, eggs, hash browns, but with

any foods, you just have to eat it and check your blood sugar to see

how it did....

> 's (who makes english muffins) has a product called

Toasties. i have been very successful eating their corn toasties

for breakfast...but yesterday i found them in bran/raisin at only 12

carbs per toastie...and they tasted very good...and it did not spike

me at all
