Here are the things that relax the muscles at the top of the stomach and hence allow reflux and vomiting to occur more easily: chocolate, mint. The compound found naturally in these two foods may also occur elsewhere, but obviously these two items are eaten frequently and hence are the largest source of this natural chemical.

In some people wheat gluten is not digestible and causes reflux and intestinal distress and damage. Also in the gluten wheat family are barley, oats and rye.
