Guest guest
I have Dr. Rumsey. I met him in April at my consult. I don't know what you want to know about him. I waited for probably 1.5 hours for him to make it to my appointment. He was facutal. Drew a picture of the procedure. Poked and prodded. Asked if I had questions. Said I was a good candidate. The end. Here's my opinion, we can all write our experiences about each surgeon -- "he's warm" "he's distant" "she's attentive" "he's got a reputation"....etc....and then there are the posts that "Dr. So-and-So has the best reputation" or "PB is better than SSF" or "my surgeon has fewer complications." and so on....They are surgeons. They are all good surgeons. The relationship with the surgeon will be what we are able to make of it in the very short amount of time we have to interact with them. AND if we are dealing with the docs at PB, it's going to be a bit difficult to have a really close relationship -- especially those of us in No. Cal. -- it's a geographic reality. If any of these docs were horrible, we would surely hear the voices of their patients. I think we are lucky to have such a competent group of doctors saving our lives. Take care, -Chris- Rumsey/PB 6/26/03 (OH MY GOSH! ONE WEEK!) 350/
Guest guest
When I met with Rumsey, I had already lost about 38 or so lbs. He said "it would be nice if you would get under 300" -- which was another 12 lbs. He said "don't gain any weight." He asked me to drink the protein supplement each day. That's about it. When his surgery scheduler called she also said "don't gain weight." That's about all I can remember. Good luck! -Chris- Rumsey/PB 6-26-03 350/
