So here is what we have on Aspirin. Blocks Thromboxane A2 - platelet aggregation Reduce overall mortality of MI Given within minutes of arrival of patient with chest pain suspected of AMI Dosage: 160 to 325 mg Precautions (Watch outs): Relatively contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer disease or asthma Contraindicated in patients with aspirin hypersensitivity Bleeding disorders Severe hepatic disease Hope this helps, may be more info than you needed. Could someone share with me the current acls protocol for the use of asprin and its contrindications.
