Guest guest
.... It's the meter that now tells me what to eat; the weight loss is just a very nice side effect. Wayne ..... This is exactly my experience, if you add into the equation that since I've started regulating my blood glucose, I have had more energy and therefore expend more energy, i.e. using steps instead of the elevator walking instead of riding, just because I feel well enough to do those things. I also decided there are some things that are just not " my " foods: mostly breads and pastas and stuff thickened with starch of one kind or another. There are people who can eat ONE waffle or ONE piece of toast, etc. I'm not one of them. To have one piece of bread (or bagel, waffle, etc.) is like another sort of addict having ONE cigarette or ONE drink. It just doesn't work for me. This is my experience. I did not state and do not wish to imply that anyone ought to do as I do--or as they say in internet shorthand YMMV!
