It is just usually two emails per day and if you don't feel like reading them, there are only two things to delete. The digest usually has 25 messages. You might try this if you have found that this list has helped. Mike

Guest guest
What determines what we recieve in digest form? Sounds like a good idea as this list is becoming too much for me. thanks,Benjy
Guest guest
Huh, I've always had a preference/craving for vinegary foods - sauerbraten, Italian salad dressing... in fact I've gone to straight balsamic vinegar on salads. I wonder if the body just " knows " what we need if we only listen. Theresa > From: " Lassesen " <kenL@...> >Subject: Experience with Vinegar ... as a CFS tonic > >The discussion of pH, resulted in some back channel email, including experiences of finding that vinegar cured stomach nausea (also reported in folk literature). Well, since Laurie is the most CFS in this house -- we've done a few experiments and find that it seems to help a variety of symptoms: > nausea > headaches >Just an ounce can be sufficient ... > >as an FYI/theory: If you are alkaline blood CFS (normal population is < 4% alkaline blood, CFS is probably >> 50%), then the blood pH and stomach pH switches ions (pH) as needed. Giving it more ions (pH) from vinegar, allows the blood to pick up more ions and become less alkaline. > >**** AGAIN -- it depends on having a stomach that can handle vinegar....*** > > HTH, experiences (positive or negative) always welcomed! Guest guest
Hi everyone, Lamar, I like hugs too. I hug my family & we hug at my church. I was taking Prozac about a year ago. I don't know why Doc put me on it., he said I had Fibromyalgia & Osteoarthritis. Would not listen to me when I told him I had CMT. but this Doc is good at prescribing meds. Usually he gives samples all the time. After i started taking Prozac in the night my body felt like it was on fire. There would be splotches on my legs. Don't know what was going on, but stopped taking it. Told Doc & he said don't quit taking it. These Doctors don't know the dangers of meds & I honestly think they don't care. I don't take anything, because i know of different instances where they did more harm than good. At the time he also had me on Amitriptilene & Estrogen. I stopped all of it. Guest guest
Hi all, Gretchen, The eldest of 6 , my brother, Jim, now 70 was drafted into the Army in the early 50's. They took him. He has mild CMT. arches aren't that high, but my youngest brother, now 59, was rejected by Army in the 60's because of high arches, tho we didn't know anythingabout CMT. My gson, jeremy, 18 has been dx w/ CMT. Has very long & thin feet, wears a size 14 shoe. He has registered w/ draft, but I'm sure wouldn't be accepted because of feet, & his bro, Danny, 15 walks on his toes. Patsy
Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just wanted to say I started having pain in my right knee. Can't sit on my knees. Pain goes into my hip & lower back & down into my foot. Have some pain on left, butthe right is terrible. Up in the groin area, I'm bothered too. If I move a certain way, my leg seems to give out from the pain up in the groin area. too have fallen on my knees. About 5 years ago I fell hard on my knees atwork. I wasn't working at the time. I had just gotten off work. Where I worked every bearing (almost al) was oiled. The smokers had to go out to smoke. It was raining the day i fell, I believe because my shoes got wet & the oil on the floor from the smokers oing out that door. I hear now they are allowed to smoke inside. Strange, tho theleft knee was the hardest hit, It was swollen huge but its right one giving me all the pain. I will hibernate this winter because I'm paranoid now on ice or snow. I fell hard on snow covered ice Jan. 1999. God Bless, patsy

Guest guest
I forgot to mention that when you take casgara sagrada, psyllium hulls, liquid bentonite and liquid clorophyll it is recommended to take everything twice a day except the casgara sagrada. they recommend casgara sagrada 3 times a day. I guess it has something to do with the liquid bentonite. Claude

There was no instruction booklet, the thing was dirty (seemed like it was used before and not cleaned well), and wouldn't even turn on when I did plug it in. So I returned it this morning but didn't buy anything else yet. Anyone know if I should replace it with the same item or get a normal blender? I hate to use up the counter space and I really only think I'd use it for the shakes. I've lived without a blender for 10 years and haven't missed it. Guest guest
Hi Michele My mom uses a hand held mixer like the one you mentioned....it works very well for her I went without a blender until a year ago, and I HATE taking it apart to clean it 2-3 times per day when I make shakes........ I think I might be looking into a hand held one for quicker clean up!! ~~ I hate the chunks in the shakes too. Guest guest
The big blender is fine when I want to make a fancy shake but when it is just the Myo and water I use a Braun hand held blender. I make sure my cup is big enough to prevent overflow. It comes out with minimal lumps. Guest guest
Everyone, what super results. Well I must say I am not consistant so that is my problem. I finally figured out my back problem. I know I am out of whack but I also remembered that the chiropractor once told me to sleep with a pillow between my legs so since I started that again, what a difference. I really screwed up yesterday and had cookies. I am on somercizing and sugar is a no no. boy do I feel bloated and fat today. One day of indiscretion makes such a difference. I really need to stay consistant with the exercising. Now that my back is not killing me anymore, I can start up again. I am going to aim for a week of 40 breaths starting Wed. Hopefully I will have some good results. I have already lost some but that could be from the 5 pounds I lost. I do not dare to weigh myself after the cookies. I already am punishing myself for how rotten I feel! That is punishment enough. You are all such wonderful people. I hope to get very motivated by your great results. Guest guest
How many people here have local support groups and how many of you are > > active with them? > > Cheryl in VA We have a local support group here called Ups and Downs. ( and I think you guys stole the name from us) I am actively involved in it being the vice president of the board. In fact, it was as a representative of the board that I attended the NDSS conference in San Diego, else I wouldn't have been able to afford it. The meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, and are mostly attended by new parents. We try to provide a forum for discussion as well as information sessions. I take Ellie along because she loves the new babies, and the parents like to see children slightly older so they know (kinda) what their baby will be like in 5 years. I remember thinking things like " oh, I hope Ellie can walk, talk, play, etc better than that child. " (EW!!) But now I just don't care as much. Ellie is going to be Ellie no matter what I do. And if I don't like it I just say she gets it from her dad. Gwen, mom to Ellie

Guest guest
And I get such a kick out of the fact that he says it too! He knows he was a difficult child. So he's not at all surprised that she is like him. I was one of those sensitive children, if you looked at me wrong I'd break into tears. It was really hard for me to come to grips with the fact that I had to be really stern with my beloved little munchkin. Time outs at 4 yrs old???!!! Not MY baby!! But, she needed it. And I did too. I found myself wishing I could give my husband time outs. Then I learned the secret, I get the time out. (Yay! Hurray!) Now if she is misbehaving, I put a finger in her face and say, " Ellie, that's ONE! " Usually she shapes up after that. If she misbehaves within 15 minutes, it's two fingers with " Ellie, that's TWO! " She rarely makes it to three, but if she does it's a 5 minute time out right there and then. If we're at home it's in her bedroom. If we're out I find the nearest corner and put her there and turn my back on her. Then after 5 minutes she's out without any reference to the behaviors. Then I can cope with life again. Gwen, mom to Ellie 5, who's off to camp this morning, and mom's really excited about that. ----has had her bag packed for a few days already. (Am I a bad mommy for doing that?) Guest guest
Hi Kathleen Are you sure it is nail fungus? I was treated for nail fungus with sporanox....which I reacted to....spent 5 days in hospital with whole body edema, burnt skin, urinary bleeding and then lost much of my hair a month later! They told me one more dose may have killed me. Went through all of this only to find out that it was psoriasis. And psoriatic arthritis. I wish they would have cultured it in the beginning, cause when they did, they found out it was psoriasis. Could have saved me a " little " trouble and would have been diagnosed with PA sooner. Only had a small patch on my scalp previous to the reaction, but after that it appeared on my legs too. Only have 2 toenails without psoriasis....even had 3 toenails removed...OUCH....and it still came back......4 fingernails have it too.....on my right hand which is swollen and deformed from arthritis. Haven't found anything yet that gets rid of it. Hope you dont have it, but wanted to share my story with you!
