Mine told me the same thing. He said it was only helpful with the initial

diagnosis.

My rheumy doesn't repeat all of that initial lab work, either. I guess

it's more useful for diagnostic purpose. He uses the CRP to monitor my

RA, band also does a CBC and liver panel.

Which tests do you want your rheumatologist to repeat? Why?

gina, Will I know for the most part that once you have one auto immune that

sometimes you pick up others...but like ana and ena...

Diane,

If have a diagnosis of RA and your diagnosis is not in question, there

wouldn't be a reason to check your ANA unless new symptoms develop

which aren't consistent with RA.

gina and group..

thanks for your input.everybody is saying the same thing..makes me feel

better that my docter is on track, because I had some reservations by ohter

people about this docter..but I just thought I heard they did yearly..but it

makes since only if I have different symptoms..I knew this group would be

the best place to find out with its knowlege and experience..BOY..do feel

better now..
