Guest guest
>>>Yep. About making a documentary of your own -- wouldn't it be nice to see one that shows our kids in a positive light? Everything is so damned depressing. Boone's mostly happy (these days -- hope I didn't just jinx that). ***Sissi, I agree with you - I have yet to see anything on autism that is done in a positive light but I guess " health professionals " are all about fixing stuff so to them autism would'nt have a positive side...after all, they want to cure it. Jay also is (mostly) a happy little boy even if he is odd...his really bad 10 on the richter scale tantrums are few and far between now ) >>>I was flamed mercilessly for saying that Boone is wonderfully autistic. He is, but it sure pisses them off to hear it. One of them told me I was giving false hope to parents of newly diagnosed children and that was dangerous and irresponsible. How can saying I love my child unconditionally damage anyone??? ***Sissi, they obviously can't love their autistic children unconditionally. They have the idea that unless their child is normal their child is not acceptable and therefore neither are they...well, it's a theory anyway ;o) Boone is lucky to have you !
