Hi Pam,

I just spoke to dh. He said that you want to see and speak to other people

who have been microdermed by the physician and, more importantly, want a

physician who will treat you virally. The physician doesn't have to be a

Dermatologist, but MUST prescribe Valtrex prior to any microderm procedure

and you must stay on valtrex the entire time you're being microdermed.

Valtrex is used to treat herpes symplex; we give it to microderm patients

because we are removing the top (protective) layer of skin, we don't want

anyone with an open cold sore (active herpes symplex) kissing them and

spreading herpes to their entire face. Currently there a large number of

instances of infection and scarring being reported in medical journal from

both physicians/spas doing microderm without properly treating the patients.

Hope I'm not scarring you - in the right hands, it's a great procedure.

I am so glad I asked you. I didn;t realize it was a serious thing. A

place were I had my eye brows waxed offers it. She tried to push me

into doing something. I'm glad I didn't.

I am really excited with my dh and his job. We always argue whether

we can afford for me to stay home. You just get so used to two

incomes. It could be coincidence, but things really started moving

along for him after we got married. He works for an okay size place.

His office now is right across from the President. I know he likes my

dh. He also happens to live one street over from us. The CFO wants to

retire at an early age. Which I think is in the next few years. One

of the cool things that has happened is that they get invited to golf

tournaments. There are only so many men at the credit union. So its

always my dh, the president, vp of lending and a guy in the computer

room. The president wasn't so good. He found out my dh and my sisters

boyfriend golf once a week so he asked if he could go with him. Sure

can't hurt for my dh.

Pam,

Tell him that golf is an awesome way to move ahead! I've heard so many

stories of contacts made on the golf course. It's a great way to get the

door open, then you work your butt off to stay there!!!

It's amazing the things that spas try to sell. We have an Arden

salon that just opened in the area. Now, so many of my patients are telling

me their microderm will work even better because of some facial. I let them

test the theory by discontinuing microderm and truly seeing how well their

facial works. Don't get me wrong, I think pampering is a great thing

(unless you're prone to acne, which I am) but if something's strong enough

to remove wrinkles and acne scars it's not going to be sold over the

counter.

Still look into microderm, it's a great procedure! I have 2 friends

currently doing it for acne scarring and both are ecstatic. One was on

accutane for years.
