ok, this is what you do. you go up to your room or your office or wherever you

want to go to rest and relax. you tell marc to take care of eric and put him to

bed when it's time and you don't want to hear a word out of either one of them

for the entire night unless someone is dead.

Marc's working til 11:30pm. I'm on solo duty tonight! Then I have to go to

library and do processing tomorrow morning, and then marc works out from

noon til 1:30 and then goes to work at 2 again!

Living with marc is almost like doing your job, -- except I get his

paycheck and his life insurance if he gets smucked by a car.

Poor Marc! Strep can be really sneaky though. Lou had a hideous case a

couple of years ago when Sophie was a baby. He had 103 fevers and could

hardly move. I, like you, had a slightly scratchy throat and I felt tired,

but, hey, I had a new baby and two other kids so I expected to feel tired.

Guess what?

Yup. I had strep too.

You can be a carrier for strep and feel fairly okay but give it to all your

friends and family making them love you even more than they did before.

My brother was a carrier for strep when I was six. We all kept getting it

and finally they had the family tested. He was SO embarrassed. Strep .

In spite of my previous post, I think this is a REALLY great idea. I mean,

you don't have to tell Marc what I said!

Oh, and perhaps they should also let you know if the house is on fire.

Now Lori is using that delightful word.

I am enchanted with the word " smuck. "

Never heard it before; please tell me about its origins.

Canadian thing, Maybe? Not in the dictionary, at any rate. Neither is one

other common one: " et. " In context: " If you jump in the water with that

alligator, you're gonna get et. " (variation: " If you jump off the CN tower

you're gonna get dead. " )
