Thanks for the info on glutaric aciduria....Can I ask a question? My son

has consistently elevated levels of 3 methyl-glutaric acid....that is why he

was tested for Barth's Syndrome (which he doesn't have per DNA test). He

has hypotonia too.

We went to a metabolic specialist in boston who tested zach w/ a skin

biopsy. It confirmed our diagnosis. maybe you should ask for one.

They're harmless. They dont even sedate. They take a tiny chunk of

skin from the tush. it takes 3-4 months to get results back for there

is like one place that ddoes the test and they need a batch of the

labs before they will run it.
