Guest guest
Hiya, Becks, so glad to hear from you, but so sorry about getting the dreaded West Nile. Sure hope he gets all better soon. Now, about YOU my friend, what's up with the blood sugars? Is that from Pred? Are you taking Plaquenil? It sure has knocked my sugars down. I am doing the best I have in years, and the thyroid is helping, too, I think. At least, my hair is starting to thicken up a bit, now. LOL Miss you so much when you are out of things. Take care, and why not look into getting voice activated software to save your hands? Love you, MM
Guest guest
Hi all! First I need to welcome all the new people and wish everyone Happy Birthday's and such. Life here has been a little on the hectic side. 's cross county team made it to Semi state. ran his best time ever! Unfortunatley they didn't make it to state. In between all of this has been sick. He started off with what we thought was a cold..............then a sinus infection. I've had him to the Dr about 5 times. I was thinking Mono...... Normally is a very active kid and eats me out of house and home. He had dropped 10 pounds in three weeks. I got scaird and started pushing the Dr for more blood tests............then broke out in a rash from head to toe, and was listless. Well we ran a test for West Nile virus and low and behold, has the virus. Apparently he contracted it @ Cross country Camp. At first I was just horrified...........this is my baby!!!! Anyway he is doing well and is in no danger. the respiratory part seems to be the worst of it and we are past that. right now he has to battle the virus and let it run it's course. He has to go back to the Dr in a month and get another shot of gammaglobulin. I am still battling my diabetes. Also am waiting on Social security to give me a decision. I am in school on Fridays tutoring in 's reading class. It's time to update and renew on our foster license. So we are attending our trainings and trying to get that going. On an ending note, 's biological sister Arielle is 14 and lives with her grandma. she has been coming on the weekends and staying with us. She wants to become part of our family. So for now she is visiting........we'll see where that goes. I will try to keep in touch. I read everday but my hands hurt a lot anymore. I hope all is well. Take care, Love, Becky "
