Guest guest
Hi, I was also put on nasacort for about a year and my rosacea is now all over my face i fully attribute it to that even though the derms and doc's say no..well my old ones anyway. i mentioned it to my new Primary and she said she once gave a patient a cortisone shot in her shoulder and her rosacea flared terrible..so STAY AWAY FROM THE CORTS!!!!!!!! Guest guest
On the topic of sinus problems...I mentioned that I have nasal polyps and forgot to tell my medication horror story. My rosacea was limited to my cheeks and was very minimal until an ENT treated me for nasal polyps and put me on Nasacort. I knew that topical steroids were a no-no if you had rosacea, but I didn't know that the backlash from a nasal spray would be soooo awful. I had side effects from the Nasacort so I stopped using it after a couple of months, and suddenly I had pretty bad rosacea on my nose, cheeks, and forehead (right were the sinus cavaties are...) It improved after a few months, but I can't help wondering if my rosacea would have been milder if this hadn't happened...Don't let your doctor give you a steroid nose spray!
