Most veggies have some carbs; the only totally carb-free food (naturally

occurring) is MEAT. However, most veggies (aside from root vegetables and

winter squash) have very few. Also, remember that fiber, although

technically a carb, doesn't count from our point of view, and most of the

carbs in most veggies are fibre. (To get the net carbs, subtract the fibre

from the gross carbs [N=G-F]).

Louise: I know you are willing to try it but I still think that an

extreme recommendation like no carbs just leads to frustration and a

lesser chance of success. But try it for awhile but please know

that you can introduce some carbs eventually and cover it with

Humalog.
