Guest guest
Hi , Today for the heck of it, I decided to call the guy from disability who is my contact person there. I just wanted to ask him how he was doing, if he needed anything from me, etc. What was funny was in the middle of me leaving a message, I forgot what I had said....LOL. I recovered and laughed...and he called me back laughing, and thanked me for calling and let me know that all my Drs. were great and had responded quickly and he had plenty of documentation and I should have a decision in a few weeks. I was shocked! I know this probably means nothing, but I figured I'd be chasing everyone. At least I can tell my Rheumy he can hold off on his paperwork until further notice. Thank you for your help. What do you think about that? Now I'll be a nervous wreck waiting..I'm not a good waiter! Heidi in Mass. In a message dated 2/5/2009 7:27:04 P.M. Guest guest
You have to learn to be patient and be a good waiter. Having RA and being disable means you're forever cast into the land of limbo. Some of the treatments can even take four to six weeks before you know if they result in a small improvement. No use to be anxious about it because it won't change anything. Be positive and try to get on with your life as best as you can. Really. Guest guest
Hi Stan, Yeah I know about waiting for the meds to work, this I can take. But with all the things I'm waiting for at once lately, a claims adjustor to call and make a decision, health insurance, disability, enliven, I'm not a good waiter. And be patient, very patient. Not to get your hopes up, but if the worker said he had every thing he needed from the medical side. That a decision would be coming in a few weeks is probably, maybe, a good thing. Worker don't like to get your hopes up only to have them dashed on the rocks. I'd say it's on a supervisors desk waiting for his recommendation. So, we'll keep your fingers crossed for you. It's those last couple of weeks of waiting that is a killer. Guest guest
When I say cold in Seattle I mean by our standard which is usually around 35 degrees. When you say cold it means something different. My Mom lives in Youngstown, Ohio where it was 6 degrees last week which is why I live in Seattle. Everyone everywhere as had very strange winters this year and I doubt it's over yet. My dog's name is Yogi, he's a nine pound pomchie, he looks more like a chuhuauhauue (chewwawa? chuahua? Taco Bell dog!) I don't think he knows he's a dog, he likes to sleep under the blanket on his back and enjoys a sip of morning coffee. He doesn't go out until properly dressed, he has more shirts than me. In fact, last week he came out of the bedroom wearing a red " super delegate " shirt. I had no idea he'd attended the convention nor did I know he was a republican. I'd tell him he's just a dog but I can't afford the thearpy that might require, and of course he would have to have the best.
