Hey all,

Whew what a day, but good news first!!! Ok, I had the u/s at 9:15 this

morning and boy was I ever nervous. It seems that I have 2 rather large

follies on the right :( But I have the biggest one on the left YIPPEE!!!!

The lady who did the u/s said that the biggest one on the right was the same

size as the biggest one on the left. When my RE called me this afternoon, he

said the left one was the biggest and appears to be in the LEAD!! Ok, now I

am staying in control, it's just that I was so frigging incredibly afraid

that my left ovary wasn't there or didn't work but now I know it does. What a

relief...so we are full steam ahead WOO-HOO and I have to start OPK's

tomorrow. The follies were 12.3 (the biggest ones and they said that was good

for cd9. Does that sound right?? My RE said the one on the left is a hair

bigger but looks the best (??) I don't know but I am on cloud nine just to

know I can make a follie on the left side (my good side). On the right I had

that one big one then one about that same size, then a bunch of smaller ones.

I had the one big one on the left and one that was a little bigger then 9mm

and then another smaller one. Seems that old clomid has kickstarted the left

side YEA!!! So as soon as the OPK is positive we go for diui #1 then 24 hours

later diui#2, before he does them he is goig to do another u/s to for a

check. Keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep you update.

Dana,

Your follies sound great for only being CD9. Who knows, you'll probably

release both of them and have twins!!! Ok, settle down, don't want to alarm

you! I'm so happy your left ovary was there and working!! One less thing to

worry about.

Have a great day!

Oh thanks, and honestly I would love to have twins :). I am so afraid that

only the ones on the right will ovulate, yes I have to worry. But I do feel

like this is the first time I have felt hopeful since my EP.

Dana -

I went to see a new gynecologist (whom I liked alot) and she insisted

that we try every month, b/c often the egg crosses into the other

tube. According to her it was not a rare occurrence. I seem to

remember that you said your ep was on the opposite side from the

corpus luteum. Did the egg not cross for you before, then? The egg may

cross any time, so you should keep your spirits up no matter which

side will release the egg.

a,

Just wanted to mention that the ep could have come through the tube

on the side of the corpus luteum and then " swam " over to the

tube....it's another possibility besides the opposite tube picking

the egg up from the " get go " . Too bad we can't figure out all the

how's and why's to exact science...boy would that make things easier

huh?!

a,

Well from the all the research I have found it says that it is extremely rare

for the egg to " cross over " but who knows...conception is a miracle not

science so I guess there's no real predictor. This month fortunately I have

follies on the side with my tube (thanks to clomid) but I also have two big

ones on the other side so if they feel like crossing over I hope they do it

this month. Thanks for the support, and maybe it is not as rare as I thought

it was.

a,

Actually that's what happened. The egg was fertilized in the right tube, but

instead of dropping down into the uterus and implanting it floated over to

the right tube and got " stuck " . I know that I O'ed from the left side cause

on the u/s the corpus luteum was on that side.
