Guest guest
Hi air-family: I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I have been ill for the last several days and haven't been keeping up with the Board too much. I have thought of you each daily and my fingers burned to get on here and type and check on everyone else. But, last Saturday, during our " blizzard " in Northeast Ohio, I became violently ill with another round of pneumonia. I was fearful that even " 911 " personnel wouldn't be able to get to me due to the weather, and was able to wait out the storm until Sunday. On Sunday I was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment. Following antibiotic treatment, and a short course Prednisone, I am happy to say I am finally feeling much better. I suppose my move and all that I have been doing was just more than I should have been doing. My sister was able to come in from Tennessee to help my mother take care of Kaleb and to assist with my needs. She is staying with me this week and leaving on Friday. I have been so thankful for her help. My mother really needed the break too. Caregivers do so much for us, and I wish I could give back to all those that are here for me. I see my transplant coordinator at UPMC on Tuesday and will have more news next week to report. Until then, I may not be doing much posting, but I do re-read the posts I miss. If anyone would like, I can also be reached through my personal email, which I check daily as well. tdweimer@.... Also, I have posted my contact information under " Members " , so I am only a phone call away. My caregivers are well aware of my " air-family " and how much you all mean to me. My prayers are with all of you who need it. My thoughts go out to those who need it. My heart is full for those that have given your friendship to me. And, finally, welcome to all of the new members. I look forward to our friendship too! I am glad you found this group. God Bless, Tina IPF 04/07 PH 11/07 Ohio

Guest guest
Geeta, Thank you for the kind words. It is so wonderful to look at my message board and see that people are looking out for me. I do feel so alone in my new place, but I am doing much better. My breathing has much improved. My caregivers need extra special thanks for putting up with me while on the Prednisone. I think it turns me into a monster with harsh words at times. I must be very sensitive to the effects of Prednisone, and I have learned that I must remind myself to be kind. I hate the side effects, but I know that the Prednisone will relieve the inflammation that settles in my lungs. Again, thank you for your kindness and friendship.
