Welcome ,

This is a nice place to be. There is a lot of info for you. You need to

get to a Rheumatologist. There are a lot of meds. for us out there & we are

on different things. I am glad you got some relief with predisone. Ask

your Dr. for some Fosomax to go with that to protect your bones. Does anyone

else out there take Fosomax too? They should have put me on it years ago.

I have osteoporosis now.

, I am not on Fosomax, so am unfamiliar with it, but others in the group use it so they can let

you know about that part of your post. As for that B****rd you were formerly attached to, I hope

he rots in some private hell set up just for him. Sorry, but that kind of cruelty deserves the very

worst that Providence can dish out in my book.

Now, about that doctor...we advocate putting all your medical history from the FIRST onset of odd

symptoms to the present in writing on your computer so you can update it as needed. Also, make a

current list of medications, any allergies to medications and put that on the computer so it can be

updated as needed. Thirdly, write all your questions for the doctor down on your computer and keep

a copy on file. Keep copies of this information in your handbag or backpack whenever you leave the

house (in case of hospital ER visits), take copies to the doc's office at appointment time and insist

that he/she read it and answer your questions while you are there. If you are comfortable taking

notes, do so, or better still, take a small tape recorder, and ask permission to tape the answers.

Don't let any doctor put you off with that old "take two antidepressants and call me in the morning"

routine. Isn't happening, darlin'. Keep us posted on your progress, get a referral to a reputable

Rheumatologist, and get there no matter what it takes. We're behind you all the way. Hugs, MM, aka:
