Guest guest
Tina, It's good to see your post. I have been wondering where you were. You have been BUSY little lady.Get some GOOD rest and enjoy your new home. Love and Prayers, PeggyFlorida, ipf 6/04Worry looks around.Sorry looks back,Faith looks up. Oh, Joyce, you are so welcome. Yes, strong women for sure! I am doing much better since I ended my Prednisone short course and the antibiotics. I met with the transplant team on Tuesday at UPMC. I have been so excited about their news. They have decided to list me! Even though my antigen count is high, and even though my weight isn't perfect yet, I have lost 25 pounds, and showed them that I am serious. So, they are going to list me! I will find out the details next week. My coordinator is supposed to call me on Thursday. I know the transplant will improve my quality of life. I know also that it will mean I will have different problems to face each day. I am thankful that I may receive such a blessing. I know God has plans for me and I look forward to whatever that may be. I have had some serious discussions with my daughters and I am trying to word things properly for Kaleb so that he understands, without becoming frightened. In any event, things are going well, and I am feeling much better. The day at the transplant center was exhausting, as it always is with the tests, retests, and then more tests. But, I enjoyed the rest of this week with my daughters. We spent a couple of days shopping for 's wedding reception decorations and so forth. The wedding is April 19th. Then, she and I are headed for San on May 1st, and then later in June I will be headed to Houston for the Pulmonary Hypertension International Conference. I was awarded a scholarship to attend the conference, at no cost to me, including air-fare, hotel and registration for the event. I hope to learn as much as possible and use the information to advocate for research funding and awareness. Thanks for listening and I sned prayers your way every day! Guest guest
Hi Peggy! You are my lucky charm. I know every time I read your posts I will get a kick out of what you have to say and I can feel your pleasantness in your posts. I can't wait to meet you in San . I hope you are still able to make it. Yes, I have been busy indeed, but I am feeling much better and I have had lots of caregivers around to help me. Today is the first day in the last few weeks that Kaleb and I have been home alone, and never left the house. It is snowing again here in North Central Ohio with an expected 6-12 inches overnight! Do you have room in Florida for one more? Well - better make that two - I have to bring Kaleb. It is funny to note that this area of Ohio hasn't seen this much snow in one winter since 1977! It just figures. My first year hear and they set records! I am looking forward to spring and I am super jealous when I read of temperatures in the 70s or 80s in your neck of the world! God Bless, Tina IPF 04/07 PH 11/07 Ohio P.S. I started a letter writing campaign to raise awareness for research and awareness funding for IPF and PH. Last week I got a call from the Governor's office and I am to schedule a meeting with his Health Advocate. Now I know what nervous feels like. > > > > > > Tina, > > > > Thank you so much for the Hallmark card and the very sweet note. > Thank > > you so much for the kind words of encouragement. Guest guest
I too live in a 100 year old farm house; remodeled to be modern, but big old house nonetheless. I love it. I will post pictures as soon as I have all my rooms put together. And, I will post a copy of the letter I sent to the Governor's office. It is nothing special, but it did get attention and for that, I am thankful.
