Thanks so much for the welcome. I'm sure you understand when I say I wish this was one club I wish we didn't have to join.

I will definitely check out the information you gave.

One of our kids, Joe age 15 has a diagnosis of Autism (among other things). We've been turned down repeatedly by Mental Retardation for assistance based on his IQ even though he is low functioning (hate that term but using it for lack of a better one at the moment). We recently had a full Psychological done on him that shows how low functioning he is irregardless of what his IQ score is. We know families whose PDD/Autistic kids are getting several thousand dollars a year in respite funds and their children are much higher functioning than Joe but have an IQ in the mentally retarded range.

Welcome to the club.We have yet to get our insurance to pay for the Pediasure we feed Maggie through her G-tube neer mind the Q-10. We do get re-imbursed for Q-10 and her suplemental Vitamin E through The Department of Mental Retardation. Try 1-800-joe-k4Rx.
