Guest guest
I really relate to ! I was just like her when I first got my CPAP. Claustrophobic too. Now it doesn't bother me much. The tubing gets in the way but most nights I sleep pretty much 'till early morning. Has adjusted well? Mama-Sher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR. Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Guest guest
Well, she only has two problems other than just not always using it.....actually, one problem-MARLI Marli learned long ago how to turn the CPAP on and off and finds that most enjoyable just to get up and turn it back and forth. Also, Marli likes to chew on the tubing. > > > > > > > > > > I tell Joanie I feel like a jet pilot Gettingg ready to take off > > in > > > a > > > > F-15. > > > > > I have the full mask. > > > > > Joe > > > > > > > > > > -- CPAP > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > The CPAP I'm using has the head gear straps like the mask, but > the > > > > > nostril pillow fits into the nostrils like a cannula...only > there > > is > > > > no > > > > > space for " leakage " . Guest guest
I had a better night last night...however, guess it's not working yet 'cause I was just as tired in the a.m. as usual! Now you've all seen my more intimately - in bed!!! yikes. My husband takes pictures of me all, and I mean all, the time! I've given up the chin strap - hated that thing. So, imagine me with only the " snorkle " part. I saw there is a smaller one on the internet that fits over the nose and up over the top of your head, think it looks like gel - looks more comfortable. I'm going to ask my O2 guy about it. BTW, my medicare and supplemental pays for the unit - I don't know yet if I have a co-payment, but I'm thinking I don't 'cause I don't have any co-pay for the O2. My company is great! They even deliver within a day. I'm happy to hear that Joyce is feeling better, and Sher....goodness..there certainly are good and bad days. > > > > > > I tell Joanie I feel like a jet pilot Gettingg ready to take off in > a > > F-15. > > > I have the full mask. > > > Joe > > > > > > -- CPAP > > > > > > > > > The CPAP I'm using has the head gear straps like the mask, but the > > > nostril pillow fits into the nostrils like a cannula...only there is > > no > > > space for " leakage " . Guest guest
With your medicare supplement, you should have no copay. > > > > > > > > I tell Joanie I feel like a jet pilot Gettingg ready to take off > in > > a > > > F-15. > > > > I have the full mask. > > > > Joe > > > > > > > > -- CPAP > > > > > > > > > > > > The CPAP I'm using has the head gear straps like the mask, but the > > > > nostril pillow fits into the nostrils like a cannula...only there > is > > > no > > > > space for " leakage " . Guest guest
Yes Joy, do ask about the petite blue-gel mask. You can go to www.cpapsupplyusa.com and see an example there....its' actually a site for a contoured pillow for cpap users that Bruce sent to me. Pillow looks good! It's expensive but considering it's something I will no doubt use the rest of my life, I'm seriously considering it. (grinning here) that gal looks a lot like me! Mama-Sher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR.
