i hope to have my TR..sometime in march.. my husband and i are

driving tomorrow to pay..if everything goes as planned..i have 2 boys

just turned 15 last week and ++++++ turns 11 this Friday ..so you never know

what's happening from day to day...what kind of job do you have?he said i

couldn't go back to work for 6wks.but my job does require lifting..

Hi Rhonda,

Welcome to the group!! I had my TR with Dr. Levin last Monday

(02/17/03). I am feeling better every day but I had never had

a " real " stomach surgery before so I was really not expecting to

still feel like this a week later. I was able to go to the grocery

store with my boys today and other than moving slow and having some

trouble climbing into my SUV it was fine. I guess we'll see how

work goes tomorrow!! :-) Are you planning on having your TR

soon? You have joined a great group of women and you will make a

bookkeeping for a large Methodist church. I would love to take

another week off but I am the only person who is supposed to handle

the Sunday offering and so I have to at least go in tomorrow to get

it counted and in the bank. I suppose if I have too much trouble

tomorrow I will take the rest of the week off. What an exciting

time for you and your DH. I remember tracking my check online the

entire time from the minute FedEx picked it up!! Keep us updated on

,Does DH stand for what i think..i saw that Laurie had e-mailed you

and ask you about buddy ..did she happen to mention when she was wanting to

get hers reversed..date ? i would love to have a buddy ..it doesn't seem so

scary.....may i ask how old your are? I'm 35 going on36 in a few weeks..and

there's a few people on my case..my dad freaked out this morning when i told

him ..he's convinced that world is coming to end ..and that I'm going

against the bible....glad he didn't raise me..seem that people love to give

their opinion..and the more negative they can be the better.wow,,that's a

DH stands for Dear Husband (usually). I am 32 will be 33 in July.

As for getting a negative reaction from people I say it's their loss

that they can't share in your joy. As for going against the Bible,

your TL was against the Bible not the TR!! I have chosen not to

tell anyone about my TR as very few people knew about my TL (can't

wait to see the reaction on my ex's face when I tell him I am

PG!!!!). We did have to talk to my DH's best friend about it though

as he is our family doctor and we had to get the prescription for

the SA from him. He was very negative and told us that " these

things are rarely successful " obviously the man hasn't spoken to

very many of Dr. Levin's patients!!! With the help of God I plan to

prove our family Doc wrong!!! I'm sorry Laurie didn't say when she

was going to be ready to have her TR but it sounded soon.

Somethings that you need to know about the buddy discount if that is

the way that you want to go is 1)you must meet the weight

requirement (check out his web site for the chart) and 2) you both

must pay together and let the office know when you pay that you

intend to be " buddies " . 3) You can't use the pre-payment plan.

,it doesn't matter if i have a buddy or not..it has taken me a year to

make up mind..my family has had a hard year..we've lost 5people to death a

few expected and a few unexpected..when was i 30 ..i spoke to my OBGYN and

he really discourage me..then i spoke to Dr. Levin in late October..and then

September. 11, happen and that brings us to now .and like you.. I'm sure

there's going to be some surprised people..hope you have a good day at work.

LAURIE,sorry about all the information...i forgot that this goes out every

where..my Dad was negative with my 2 boys ..so it really doesn't matter..

although i did lose some last night over all that he had to say ..but it's

mine and decisions...well and ++++ and ++++++...we have included them

on this whole process..we want them to be as excited as we are ...++++ is at

that age he really doesn't care ..but ++++++ is 11 and has been the baby for

even years..there are no more grandchildren on my 's side ..Laurie ,do

you really think you could go march? is wanting to drive up today .

but if you think this is what you want to do..we'll wait until you speak to

your finance..because we're just 3 1\2hrs. away..but i believe we have to

this together..some how..where do you live?

As far as I know we are paying with a Credit card so we may be able to do it

I had my consult in the office also, but no physical exam… I also want to do

a Thursday, but I’m not gonna be able to take the 6 weeks off. I have a desk

job so I plan to go back to work on the following Monday. A bit optimistic

huh? :-)

Anyway I was hoping to call the office and put it on a credit card and

according to if we just give each others names as our buddy then it

should work out fine. I will ask more questions when I call.

So, how about the 20th or 27th of march for the big day???

Rhonda, Im sorry to hear about your loss.

I really hope those dates are available in march, April is way busy for us.

I never really thought about it, but now that u mention it our children will

have a bond of sorts :-)

I will call the office tomorrow and pay for mine with the credit card, and

then will email you tomorrow with all I find out.

I will also let them know that u will be there on Thursday. I will also get

available dates if ours fall through. I am sooooo very excited. Dennis (my

fiancé) is getting a kick out of my mood tonite :-) who knows…….maybe we

will conceive on the honeymoon :-) :-)

Laurie,if march is ok...would you be able to meet us there Thursday ?and we

ll just pay together maybe go for lunch...i work 12hrs. tomorrow and a

24hrs. wed. so i get off at 7:00am Thursday drive get a shower..meet you

Laurie, I'm sorry..yes i have had my consult and a physical exam in the

office..i think once we pay ..they give us the date..so i hoping since we

are going to the office and paying in person they can tell us then...any day

in march will be great..but i was thinking maybe a Thursday..so i can go

ahead and work my shifts..because once i have the surgery, i have to be off

work for 6 weeks..and then I'll just kick in my sick time and vacation time.

Laurie,that's fine or the first available date..I'm freaking out !!!! it's

taken me a year to get to this place..we didn't know about the buddy plan

until a few weeks ago..when the girls in the office told me about it.. we we

re going to do it by ourselves...but to have someone to share it ..who has

the same emotion and some day to able to tell our children about it is

wonderful...this has been the a very difficult year for my family..as we

lost 5 family members between my family and 's..everything seems to

falling into place..it makes me want to cry..ok enough of that..are you

calling the office tomorrow and have them run your card then you can let

them know that we'll be up Thursday..I'll check my e-mail tomorrow night or

if they need to me they have my work number...
